    twiddle dee twiddle dum.

i went to visit my ancestors (my dad's side) c of 清明节 (qing ming jie). bascially, its just a day where you go to clean your ancestors tomb/ just visit them. hm, at least if your religious beliefs are similar to my dad's side i think its compulsory to do this annually.

well, i thought alot when i was there.

it was my first time doing someth like this. it's partly bc i'm a free thinker unlike my dad. but mainly, th reason is that for all th previous years, i have been so caught up in my studies/tuition/test/exams that i simply don't have the time to experience things like this.

anyw, that isn't the point. (although that really suspiciously sounded like i was making a lousy excuse for myself :/) th point is that, i finally know, like know, my ancestors. my grandma's mom, dad and even her elder brother. also my grandad's uncle and dad. i felt excited and happy and sad all at the same time.

    a myraid of emotions.

it's just that i feel so excited meeting them. to finally know who gave me and made my wonderful grandparents who they are now. can you even feel happy to meet someone while not actually meeting them? but i felt so regretful that it took me so long to do this. it sorta make me feel like i'm being disrepectful and it's almost like i didn't deserve to even be there. doesn't mean that i dont have beliefs that bound me to the annual ritual of needing to pray to them means that i can't visit them. i feel mean. th place (someplace sorta like a temple kinda place) was so cluttered and i wonder if my ancestors were happy to have their ashes placed in such a place. apart from this, there was another thing that bothered me alot. th photo portraits looked so sad.

    i hope they're happy. i really do.

on th lighter note, they oddly agreed to do this on a good friday. strange.

    ♥

can you love someone you never met?
